Small Yet Powerful Micro Injections

Mesotherapy introduces microscopic quantities of pharmaceuticals, vitamins and minerals into the skin to help it rejuvenate and repair itself. This is performed using a very small needle and is not a particularly uncomfortable process. Here at Zen Skin we use a very sophisticated device for mesotherapy.

How does Mesotherapy work?

Mesotherapy works somewhat differently depending on the exact nature of the treatment. For example, when used to treat cellulite, mesotherapeutic injections are injected into the fat layer beneath the skin, where fat cells will become broken down and shrunken. On the other hand, the treatment for dark circles around the eyes combines a mixture of different procedures – to make eyes look brighter and younger.

Who should consider Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is effective on a wide range of problems on the face and body, and so patients can realistically be of any age or gender.

Mesotherapy is most commonly used to treat and alleviate:

  • Cellulite
  • Stretch marks
  • Dry skin
  • Tight skin
  • Hair loss
  • Dark circles around the eyes
  • Sun-damaged skin

In addition, many patients simply come to us for a ‘mesolift’, in which mesotherapy is used to simply rejuvenate the skin.

Mesotherapy FAQ

How long is the recovery time?

The procedure involves minimal recovery time. Following mesotherapy treatment, you can return to work the very same day.

When will I see results?

This depends on what you’re having treated; some patients can expect to see results after the first session, though many will be expected to attend four to eight mesotherapy sessions before results are visible.

Will it hurt?

While the process can be slightly uncomfortable, a local anaesthetic cream can be administered if necessary – so no, it shouldn’t hurt much at all.
